# Unique AI Release Notes: January 2026

We’ve rolled out two recent updates to the Unique AI Platform that focus on better document organization, clearer references, improved security, and more transparency for admins. Here’s a simple overview of what has changed and how it helps you in your daily work.

## Smarter Document Management

You can now move files and folders inside the [Knowledge Base](https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1385070895/Knowledge+Base+for+End+Users):

- Reorganize content using drag-and-drop or a Move button  
- Move multiple files at once using List view  
- Entire folders (including all subfolders and files) move together

👉 Why it matters: Keeping research, reports, and source documents structured is now faster and more intuitive—especially as your knowledge base grows.

## Clearer Answers and References

When reviewing answers in the [Unique AI Tables](https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1771077741/Agentic+Table):

- Clicking a reference opens a side panel
- Information is clearly split into Question, Answer, Sources, and Metadata  
- You can easily copy text or move between references

👉 Why it matters: Reviewing AI-generated answers and their sources is quicker and more transparent—supporting compliance and confidence in outputs.

Better inline references

References are now:

- Clickable, not just numbers
- Display linked documents or webpages directly
- Easy to switch between multiple sources

👉 Why it matters: You can instantly verify where information comes from, without breaking your workflow.

## Improved Oversight for Admins

Ingestion analytics per user

Admins can now generate a report showing:

- How much content each user has ingested
- Number of pages added
- Activity over a selected time period

👉 Why it matters: Better visibility into platform usage, supporting governance and capacity planning.

Simpler [permission management](https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1411023168/Understand+Roles+and+Permissions) (Beta)

Access rights are now clearer:

- Can view
- Can edit
- Can manage

👉 Why it matters: Permissions are easier to understand and assign, reducing the risk of incorrect access.

## Security & Reliability Improvements

Session timeout for inactive users

- Automatic logout after 30 minutes of inactivity
- Warning shown 5 minutes before logout
- Works consistently across browser tabs

👉 Why it matters: Protects sensitive financial data if a session is left unattended.

## Quality, Accuracy & Stability Fixes

Across both releases, we’ve also:

- Improved [hallucination checks](https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1410531424/Hallucination+Evaluation) in document search and questionnaires
- Ensured [analytics](https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1385235144/Analytics) and usage reporting are accurate
- Updated language models to newer, more reliable versions
- Introduced [Sub-Agents](https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1450246161/Sub+Agent), domain-specific AI agents orchestrated within the Unique AI Platform.
